Hello,
I have a question about changing the direction an axis travels when told to move. I have created my own makerbot from an old CNC machine at work. The stage for the system is a servo driven system with rotary encoders for position feedback. I didn't want to switch them out for steppers because the servos are already sized properly for the stage so I purchased Gecko Drives to adapt the servos to stepper control. This works great and I am able to get the axes to move in ReplicatorG using jog in the control panel.
My main issue is that when I tell the Z-Axis to move in the positive direction the stage advances towards the build platform. I don't think this is correct and would like to know how to flip the axis. Is there a preference I can change in ReplicatorG or a firware change I need to make to flip the axis? As far as I know there isn't a way to flip the direction of travel in the Gecko Drive.
What do you guys think?
Thanks,
