2) is there some way to turn off the extruder, or did they mean turn of the MakerBot when done printing.

I think they mean turning off the extruder heater when you're not printing.

Dunno about the null version stuff.

I had the same issue with teh Null Version… I took advise from the forum, and loaded V1.6 to the extruder and V1.8 (with heated bed support) on the MOBO. All's well after that, but the MBot still drops builds midway sometimes…
Also, I changed my ethernet cable which seemed to solve some bugs…

Yes, I loaded the firmware… see my first sentence. ;-)

Problem is the MakerBot was not running. I thought turning on the power supply would uh… turn it on. Nope. And I still do not know where that's said in the instructions.

But thanks to Dan Slack, it's all good now.

Tomorrow night is calibration. :-D

Hi all,

1. I have problem with upgrade the firmware, every time I get an error sign,
the green light on the extruder board is on, the power on the mother board is on -
the green led is on, the mechanical switch is on, the power supply is on,
what am i doing wrong ?

2. When I turn the power on sometimes the red led on the mother board flashes & the green is on,
and sometimes only the green led is on, any ideas ?
