Got my bot kit last week with Motherboard v2.5, which is supposed to have a fix for the Sparkle/etc new power supply. I can't find a schematic for v2.5 though that reflects the change(s).
Trying to trace down a problem I have, as my extruder controller's RS485 driver exploded on first power-up. Of all parts to explode, that would seem the LEAST likely but alas my bot is just a brick until I work out the problem. Could the motherboard v2.5 fix have caused an inadvertent problem on Extruder v3.6? I noted a reference to past designs passing power over lines common with RS485… spidey sense kicked in at that.
Have to validate the power supply is in limits, etc, and order a new SN75176A (IC4). Also check what else might have invisible damage - IC4 has crater in it!
