Maybe someone can help…
First, I am thinking of switching to a high temperature ring terminal for connecting the thermocouple to the heater block. I am looking at the type-k thermocouple at the MakerBot store, but there is no size information (Wire gauge?). I was wondering what size ring-terminal I would need to buy to ensure a good fit on the thermocouple.
I am currently using a rectangular speednut to secure my thermocouple… and it works great, but I still worry that the sharp metal edges of the speed nut or the MakerBot sanctioned "washer" might cut into the tape and my thermocouple might no longer be electrically isolated. So, I figure crimping a ring terminal onto the kapton covered tip might work better for not cutting into the tape (because it would be smoother).
I also want to do the X axis follower:

But I really would like to know where I can source the 693 bearings. The Big Bearing Store, which is recommended by Thingiverse, does not seem to have 693 bearings. And if I google them, there are so many vendors out there, but I don't recognize any of the names and would prefer to go to a place that someone here would recommend.
I also wanted to connectorize my thermocouple…

and I want to know if that connector right there will fit too?
Thanks!
