If the nozzle is hitting the print, you're putting out too much plastic.

The ways to fix this are:

- slow down the motor (easier on steppers, harder on DC motors) doing the extrusion

or

- speed up the movements

Both of these need to be done in skeinforge — and then you re-slice the object, and try again….

What exact spec is your printer?

Ok — so you don't want to mess with the speed of the extruder then — leave that at 255.

In skeinforge try speeding up the 'Feed rate' — try 5mm/sec faster to start…
