I was given a new laptop at work, so now I am free to run Ubuntu at home. (I had an older laptop from work and I didn't like to use it at home when working with AutoCad, so I had windows).
My architecture is 64-bit… and I have 8 gigs of ram. Apparently the 32 bit version of ubuntu only supports 4 gigs of ram. So that is one reason to choose 64-Bit.
But… I just wanted to make sure that ReplicatorG and OpenSCAD work without a hitch on the 64-bit ubuntu? Does anyone have experience running 64-bit ubuntu with repg and openscad?
Oh and I didn't ask on the openscad mailing list because I hate using it… there is no search feature on the web archive that I can find and it is all handled through email. I don't know why they don't make a Google Group.
