So I got my replacement heater board today in the mail. It seems slower to reach temperature than my old heater board. And once it reaches 100, it takes FOREVER to reach 110… and then it won't go over 110. There is a difference here in that I have the new Aluminum build surface, but I would still think it would be able to reach above 110 with the new surface. Before I had a glass platform.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or is it not really broken? To the touch, the surface seems super hot. But my hand is not a very good thermometer. My Contactless thermometer says it reads 100…. but it is a cheapie and it is hard to get an accurate reading with it. But with my old board, watching in Control panel, my heater board and my mk6 plus used to reach temperatures about the same time, the new heater board takes alot longer.
I also checked toolhead settings and made sure both the hot end and the heater board were the same degree when at room temperature, so it is not an issue of the 'base' temp being off.
I am hoping that with the new surface… maybe I won't need such a high temperature. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
