Hello friends
I'm having a problem with printing in my Cupcake MK4. The raft prints ok, but after some minutes it starts to deform, and then the raft's borders unstick from the platform. It ruins all the printing since one part of the raft is not leveled anymore. What I'm doing wrong??
Not using a heated bed is part of the problem. It would be the best $50 you ever spent. Don't forget the REQUIRED relay kit too.

This means no more rafts and wasted plastic and no more warping either.
Look at it this way, a roll of plastic is now ~$50 so how many rafts and wasted prints do you need to justify the upgrade? Then how much of a pain is it to remove the raft? No way would I ever go back to not using an HBP.
I am having problems with the Belt of the ABP, I assembly it very tight buy when the machine heats up an starts printing it seem that it expands and gets loose, thus the piece moves too much. Is there anyway to prevent it? Are the people still using its belts?
Thanks
No, most of us have gotten away from the ABP altogether and just use it as the HBP by putting a layer of Kapton or Blue Painters tape over the aluminum tape. Now that Makerbot Sell rolls of Kapton wide enough, no reason to not do this.
The ABP only works well for lots of small, short parts.
I see.
I am still with the acrillic plate, but it sticks too much. I'll try to use kepton tape on it, is it a good idea?
I am from Brazil and it gets too much time to things arrive here and gets taxed… so I think twice before ordering something. I will probably mill one aluminum plate, since I work in a machining company.
Thank you Jetguy.
But I have the same issue of LuisBr, I'm also from Brazil and it's a litle difficult, but I'll try to buy the relay and the platform. Thank you!
LuisBr,
