I want to build a pull-out/drawer electronics bay for my ToM. I was going to have all the wires that go to the Electronics Bay from the various devices come to a central point, right inside the electronics bay. And then I was going to "connectorize" all the wires. So Basically, all wires come from the electronics, to that centralized point, and then out from that centralized point to all the hardware. And from there it should be easy to modify the bay into something that can slide in an out.
I am just wondering what kind of hardware would be best to use for the connectors? The endstop cables are easy, they already have connectors on them, and I can solder two female connectors together for the hub area.
But what would be a good connector to use for the red/black heater wires and fan wires? I would want something that could be easily connected / unconnected. But of course I wouldn't want it to be TOO easy to disconnect. Anyone got a suggestion for a connector system?
Also, does anyone know what the connector system for the stepper motors is called? I would certainly need a few of those too.
thanks!
