On the ABP rollers there is a gap in the middle of the rubber, the ABP wood frame has a tab that goes in between the gap. I suppose it is to secure the position of the roller so it does not move side to side.
I always get a kink on the belt where the gap is, as time goes on the kink gets worse and worse and worse and looks like the rocky mountains has sprouted in the middle of my ABP.
I want to chop off the wood tab, and push the rubber together so there is no longer a gap in the middle. I have extra rubber to add to the ends so the edges of the belt are supported.
Anybody see any problems with what I want to do?
