I have a ToM with original stepper motors and a MK6 stepstruder. I've recently adjusted my v3.3 stepper drivers to the newly recommended values, but the RC1 and RC2 adjustments are out of range. I can get the RC1 and RC2 adjustments to .965 turned ALL the way clockwise, but not to .953 or .955. I'm using a good Fluke multimeter and my bot is ON but disabled while I'm doing the adjustments.
The only reason this is concerning me is that my bot blew another stepper driver again. I had all of the stepper drivers go TU when I first got it going in February, after MBI replaced the electronics I've been happily printing for months. The other day I was printing and I touched my ToM and had a static discharge, the bot went crazy and I shut it down. When I fired it back up the stepstruder stepper driver was in 1/4 step mode, the chip is ignoring the switch settings which is what happened to me before and seems to be a common failure mode.
So to recap, I've got a stock ToM that hates static and loves to eat stepper boards. I know there's a lot of smart people in this community, can anyone figure this mystery out?
