I was just wondering if with the new stepper motors, does the pulley need to be positioned on the shaft differently?
I have a friend who is setting up his brand new Thing-O-Matic. He says that the free moving part of his Y axis belt rubs against the bottom piece of the wood. And it is doing it bad, the belt is laying flat on the wood. He says he put the pulley on just like it says in the Wiki. I was wondering if the new motors need a different placement of the pulley on the motor's rod. I know with my ToM and the old motors, the motor's rod is supposed to be even with the top of the pulley. My friend has setup his pulley the same exact way, with the new motor, and the belt rubs.
Here is a PIC, obviously, something is very wrong here.

Thanks!
