I've done three things:
1. I bought four wire/connector sets as backups/spares so I won't get shut down by another failure after my original harness/connector failed and couldn't be repaired any more.
2. I wrapped a goodly amount of kapton tape around the connector at the heater board, and then out about 4-5 cm around the wires, to stiffen the mechanical joint between the wires and the connector.
3. I've kept a much larger amount of the wires out of the base, just draping out over the front of the bot, to allow more slack, and zipped that section of draping wires together to minimize snags.
So far, this seems to have completely solved the problems I was having with stress on at the connector. I haven't had to use any of the extra spares.
