I finally got back to getting the ol' Cupcake up and running after 10 months. I still have the problem with my extruder motor — it stops turning after about a minute when extruding at less than 255 speed.

My guess is that I got one of the defective motors that shipped around that time (October last year), so I'm going to change out the motor.

Should I just get this guy? Or is there a better option?

Are you using the MK4? I never got my MK4 running because of the crummy nozzle's that shipped with the unit. After many rebuilds, I finally upgraded to the MK6 (which comes with a new extruder motor) and I haven't had problems with the thing since.
