It has started to happen lately that after a print is concluded and upon starting a new print the Z-axis directions get reversed. That caused the Z-stage to go down as it tries to reach the Z-end stop with potentially devastating consequences.
It does not happen every time, which does not help isolating the cause, but I can check if it has happened by trying to move the Z-stage 1mm up after the end of the print. Every 3 or 4 times, the Z-stage will move down 1 mm for every time I press the Up 1mm button. Then if a press the down 1 mm button it also goes down 1 mm again, but now the Up button makes it go up.
I will install new firmware and see if helps. I can also do the little up and down dance on the endcode but I wanted to check if anyone has since their TOM's behaving this way.
