Howdy folks,
I'm running a new Thing-O-Matic with the MK7 Step Struder, with the V3.1 firmware, using ReplicatorG 29.
I was wondering if anyone had run in to these issues.
When I print using ReplicatorG I load my files onto the SD card and load it into the TOM and then tell ReplicatorG to print from the SD card. The TOM strats doing its thing no problem, however, it is at this point I would like to use my computer again for more than creating G-code so I ask ReplicatorG to disconnect from the TOM. It ussually just ignors the fact that I did anything and pretty much freezes until the print is completed and then its fine again. However sometimes it says something like " you sure you want to disconnect during a print, are your sure?" However if it gets to this point it doesn't matter because its frozen by that point. So every time I want to shutdown ReplicatorG to reopen it and work on another part, I have press ctrl+alt+del and shut it down from the task manager. Its just really annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this?
The other problem I had is probably linked with the first, which is that I can't pause a print once its started. It just ignors the fact that I asked it to pause or waits like ten minutes, by which time the print its nearly finished. Any ideas I really like to try loading different colored plastics in at different times for a layered effect, but the software seems to limit my experimentation.
I can't figure out what would be causing this. I haven't seen any post about this issue, so I was wondering if it was just my rig. Could it be that for some reason ReplicatorG is trying to print the part from both the SD card and the computer?
If anyone has any advise I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
