So the Replicator has been announced and I find myself with printer envy. I've had a TOM now for nearly a year and absolutely love it, but even when I bought it I had plans to increase the build area. Since seeing the Ultimaker, and now the replicator, those plans became "build a new set of axis".
So how about something for those of us who already have a Makerbot and dont want to spen $1700. I would like to see a kit that makes use of TOM/cupcake electronics and is simply a new frame/axis?
On a related note, whats the best way to go about transplanting TOM electronics into something that has the extruder on the x/y carriage?
