Hey all,
I do not own a 3d printer yet, my Dual Head Replictor is on order (changed from a ToM) and I had a few questions. I am familiar with CNC as I have a X2 Fusion converted mill, so I have some understandings of the Gcode fun. So, if I select an item either I make or from Thingaverse, when I scale it, do I need to reprocess the 3d model or is there and automated process in Replictor G to handle this? As an object scales the number of layers and how the layers are put down will change because the nozzle size os fixed (relatively). So this ultimately comes around to ToM object optimization vs Replictor object optimization on Thingaverse items. Clearly we will have to have objects cut up for the Replicator different than the ToM, but will we also need to optimize the tool path for both or will the Replictor G software handle that?
Also, once we have the code spit out of Replictor G, can I manually adjust the tool path in Gcode or is the tool path in a proprietary language?
Finally, where can we download that great rocket playset shown in the CES booth? :D it would be cool to see an "Opensource Playset Standard" so all the figures would be the same size and work together. :D
