Hi all!!
Just got a solution from a different forum. Should run replicatorG as an administrator. Such a simple solution, i should have tried it earlier :D
Hi!
I'm very new to replicatorG. I downloaded a model from thingverse (.stl file) and tried to open it by directly clicking on it, but I got an error as "invalid file to use as the following: Certificate trust list". Then i tried to open it in ReplicatorG by opening the replicatorG software and selecting file-> open and selecting the downloaded .stl file, again i got an error saying "access denied". I tried to open the file from its downloaded location by right click -> open with—>replicatorG, that also did not work and i got an error saying "cannot find main class: replicatorg.app.Base. Program will exit."
Could someone please help here saying what is the problem and what should i do now
Regards

I had a similar issue. I was at 97% complete of a large print when the computer lost connection to the makerbot. Since then, I always use the SD card only. A couple of extra steps but I haven't had any more stopped prints.
Was printing over USB connection directly through ReplicatorG and my windows machine went to sleep. I think this caused the makerbot to stop printing. Does anyone else have this problem? I feel like I may print over SD card to avoid this from happening and to save the power of leaving my computer on for an entire print cycle (four hours).
I set up my thing-o-matic in early 2011 with
ATMEGA328
Extruder Controller version 3.6
MakerBot Motherboard v 2.4
Relay Board vs. 1.0
Extruder mk5 ABP
on my mac. I would like to change over to running on windows xp.
In looking at versions of replicatorg and firmware for motherboard and extruder controller version 3.6 I'm not sure what the best procedure is and what I need to look out for. any help appreciated
thanks
Mike
You can search for Z rider in thingiverse for other ways to get rid of wobble.
Actually, it's funny you bring this up as Makerbot is largley open source, but they also enforce it, such that if a company tries to build clone parts on the cheap, they must also publish their modifications and design files with full attribution to the original source. Because Makerbot enforces this (a very good thing) the clones haven't really started selling cheap MK7s.
I think you are referring to the trading business if it's not the typical buy and sell. It's like you have some thing and you want to upgrade it so you exchanged it to someone who has the product that you want.
Try the makerbot google group and every once in a blue moon somebody might post one up here. This forum doesn't see as much activity anymore (mostly questions), but is a good resource of information.
Thanks for the replies, I was looking to do the same thing.
Ok, let's state the question other way round.
Is the some.. damn, what's the correct English word for place where people sell things to and buy things from each other?
I mean some forum/discussion/list/whatever where are people selling the Makerbot related stuff they don't need any more or look for Makerbot spare parts if they need some and don't necessary need new ones?

where your Python was installed was the first thing that pops into my head

I think the only way to have a shop when you're in a different location is thru online. However, I don't think it will not be as cheap as we thought it will be.

I know you've struggled lately, but one day soon it's all worth it. Every problem you have had, I had too at one point. Makerboting is more a learning experience than it is a printing experience.
